Open House #1

The project's first Open House was held on the evening of October 19 between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Oregon Institute of Technology on SE Harmony Road.  The public was invited to the Open House via the project's first newsletter, flyers posted in prominent locations throughout the study area, a media release, the project website, and information letters mailed to stakeholders.  Thirteen project team members attended the Open House and staffed several stations, and a Spanish language translator was present to facilitate communication. 

 

During the Open House, the project team introduced the project to the public, explained the project development process and schedule, described the project study area, and presented the project's preliminary goals and objectives and draft Problem Statement for public comment.  The team sought input from the public and team members recorded comments on flip charts.  The public was also invited to provide written comments on Comment Forms.
